- I began tenor drumming with the Louisville Pipe Band (Louisville, KY) during "an early mid-life crisis." An award-winning tenor drummer, accomplishments include the 2002 Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) Novice Tenor Drummer of the Year Award and I was ranked in the 2004 EUSPBA Top Five Novice Tenor Drummers. I’ve published in Modern Drummer and Not So Modern Drummer magazines. My solo bagpiper, Graeme, proposed, I said "yes!" and we moved to Washington. We live in the shadow of Mount Rainier with our son, Liam (2 months old), and five cats: Howie, Gypsy, Braveheart, Dylan and Sammie. We’re now members of The Keith Highlanders Pipe Band (Bellevue, WA). My drumming inspirations include: Tyler Fry, Lisa Frazier, Lisa Caudill, Allie Guerrero, Laura Doll, Reid Maxwell, Manu Katche, Peter Criss, Mick Fleetwood, Viola Smith and Jack Hall. In free time, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, Danskin triathlons, collecting Manolo Blahnik shoes and rooting for University of Alabama football (Roll Tide!).
